MVHS Debate Visits Jefferson Elementary

Jefferson Elementary teachers (Mr. Bishop and Mr. Norman, the hi-cap teachers) asked us to come because they are moving into the persuasive writing section of the year and they wanted their students to learn to make good arguments and responses. We taught them ethos/pathos/logos, basic Refutation skills, then moved on to some SPAR rounds.

Robotics Update

Our FIRST Tech Challenge season ended Dec. 16, and unfortunately we did not qualify for the State Championship as we did last year.  However, we have continued to grow and improve.  We now have as many girls on our team as we do boys.  Our Art and Design team has had the most growth with 14 members.

Future Farmers of America Update

Wednesday, at our chapter meeting, we recognized members for their scholastic efforts by awarding certificates for first semester GPAs. We also held our Greenhand and Chapter Degree induction ceremonies. Students earned certificates today but will get their bronze and silver pins at our Awards banquet in May! All of this shows the hard work in both school and FFA events by our members! Great job guys! You make us proud!
