Debate Team Update

This weekend the MVHS Debate Team competed at the University of Puget Sound 84th Debate Invitational against competitors representing 56 schools from 7 states and Canada.  It was easily the biggest, most competitive tournament we have attended so far this season.  Here are the results:

Senior Emily Klein- 4th in Open Interpretive Reading, 1st place Speaker in Open Policy Debate!

Junior Matthew Jurenka- 1st in Open Congress!

Junior Grayson Parker- 2nd in Open Interpretive Reading!

Junior Quincy Nzokah- Finalist in Open Congress!

MVHS Sports Med Update

MVHS Sports Medicine attended  the annual WCTSMA Winter Leadership in December.  The students participated in leadership activities, listened to guest speak Jake Locker (Former UW and Tennessee Titan Quarterback) and watched the Everett Silvertips defeat the Portland Winterhawks in hockey.

Attention Seniors!

Culminating Project Portfolios are due February 23rd . Portfolio workshops will be held Wednesdays after school in NM 203 if you need help. All seniors must complete the project to graduate!

Math EOC

Math EOC retakes will happen in January.  Seniors in need of this graduation requirement will be contacted by Mr. Bernal soon.  Study sessions will be available to prep for the math EOC.  Study packets are available on our school website.  See Mr. Bernal for more information.

Heritage Language Test Registration Deadline is January 12th

Seniors & juniors who are credit deficient & speak Spanish, Russian, or any other language at home are invited to take the Heritage Language test on January 26 to earn language credits on your transcript. The application deadline is January 12. For more information, see Ms. Lewis in OM 300, Ms. Gonzalez in OM 105, or Ms. Chuprinov in the CTE Office. Spacebo!
